MIX Market seeks to develop a transparent information market to link MFIs worldwide with Investors and Donors and promote greater investment and information flows.

MIX Market currently provides data on over 1400 MFIs, over 100 investors and almost 200 partners.

How We Work

MIX collects financial, operational and social performance data on microfinance institutions (MFIs) from throughout the developing world. Our analysts review the data, ensuring there are no outliers and extremes. We double check against source documents such as audits and ratings, and standardize it according to internationally accepted accounting standards and to provide for a more useful intra-regional comparison. The review and scrubbing process is hands-on and comprehensive, managed by analysts who are experts in their regions.
